I tried to watch some world news tonight but unfortunately it seems the world's most loved, worshipped and important person died today. How, why, when, with whom, was she on drugs, was it the weight loss, who will get her her baby? Who is the father anyway? Seems poor Anna is getting better press in her death than she got from her failed reality tv show. I didn't know Anna intimately, closely, or in any way, actually, and since I have nothing of interest to add about her, I'd like to remember her with images. My visual tribute to her is as most men probably remember her when she could make you whack 6 inch nails into a two-by-four without the need for a hammer. Short Bio: Anna Nicole Smith (born November 28, 1967) an American actress and model first gained popularity as Playboy magazine's 1993 Playmate of the Year. Anna Nicole Smith's career suffered as her weight gain and bizarre antics became fodder for the tabloids. It didn't help when her reality TV show tanked. Smith's weight has see-sawed tremendously in the past few years and may have been a contributing factor in her death. Obviously there is a news frenzy over the cause of her death. I will happily not be watching the minute by minute dissection of her last days by broadcast TV. Eventually I'll overhear how she died in my office and I will not have wasted precious days of my life stuck to the tube. Her highly publicized marriage to entrepreneur J. Howard Marshall, 63 years her senior, resulted in a lengthy legal battle over his estate. Anna's case, Marshall v. Marshall, reached the U.S. Supreme Court in February, 2006, on a narrow constitutional issue over the right of a federal judge to intervene in a state probate case. On May 1, 2006, Smith won the Supreme Court case 9-0, or as the law clerks listed it: 40-24-36. Without the stress of the case she might have lived longer, though poorer. Doesn't seem like it was worth it for her, now. Rest in Peace you poor child. Outsie of family and a very small circle of friends, neither Anna Nicole Smith's life nor death were worth all the ink and photons lavished on her. She was famous for beinng a bimbo who married an old fool with alot of money. Now some are comparing her to Marilyn Monroe. Smith was nowhere near being a "Marilyn". Marilyn Monroe had talent that she developed like any actor does. Smith remained an untalented, unskilled, pathetic bimbo enamored of her own celebrity. Even in death there is a major difference - Marilyn was bio-degradable.
